After being crowned British GT4 champions at Donington Park last weekend (23 - 24 September) former Ginetta Junior Championship rivas Will Tregurtha and Stuart Middleton’s class win marks the seventh Ginetta GT4 pairing to cinch victory in the class’ 10 year history.
This continued success of the Ginetta GT4 only reaffirms its position as the car of choice for GT4 competition. A winner on the international stage, in the four years since the G55 GT4 car replaced the G50 GT4 in 2014, the Yorkshire marque has already taken 98 race wins in some of the globe’s biggest GT4 race series.
In the 24 Hour Series, the car has taken class victory in the Dubai 24 Hours five times in six years and the Mugello 12 Hours three times in three years. In GT Cup, the G55 GT4 has taken an impressive 40 class wins over the past four years.
There have been 14 GT4 class wins in British GT plus 25 Britcar Endurance and Production series victories. Not only that, but it’s claimed a first and third in class on its Motul Sepang 12 Hours debut last season, two wins in the TCE series and a pair of top spots in both the Euro GT4 Northern and Southern Cup.
